Muddy Monday Night

July 21, 2008

What a great night we had learning about Jesus healing the blind man with a little bit of mud! Bible Blast really is a blast! We had a lot of fun in games playing with the parachutes (pre-Kind) and getting really wet (Elem)! Our muddy chocoloate pudding snack was delicious too! Our elementary friend made a gooey ooey mucky mudin Wacky Works crafts, while our preschool-Kindergarten friends made some cool googley goggles to remind us about the miracle that Jesus performed to help the blind man.We learned that Jesus Gives us the Power to Help Others! A-HA!

Tonight’s missions offering was $340.76! That means we have a total of $388.05! We have a long way to go, so remember Peter as you head back to VBS tomorrow night. Kids- check with your parents about doing extra chores for some change….or better yet, offer to clean out the sofa cushions or under the seats in the cars!

All the classes did a great job tonight which it made it really hard to pick for the Marvelous Monkey Awards and the Power Light Awards. Big applause for those of you chosen! We’ll keep watching for more classes with great behavior.

4th and 5th graders had a little bit of growth tonight with 85kids in attendance tonight. We are getting closer but want to keep heading towards our goal of 100! Zany Chemists are definitely working hard on this goal, and so are the 5th grade Zoologists! 5th grade Meteorologist, we are hoping for great things!

Our Bible Point onTuesday night will be JESUS GIVES US THE POWER TO BE BRAVE! Start working on your power verse, “I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.” Psalm 23:4

Friday Night Faith Fusion Finale: Kids will not be reporting to their classroom, but instead will come with their families for a fun finale! Arrive at 6:30 and bring a picnic blanket, frisbies or other fun stuff to play withfor a special treat on the front lawn after our familyworship time!
