Elementary: Give

This past Sunday we introduced our third “G” which is GIVE! We highlighted the fact that “When we serve YOU…we serve GOD too.” Our Bible story was from Matthew 25:31-40, the parable of the Sheep and the Goats. We learned the story by watching our 5th graders perform it in a skit- Great Job Guys! It was a good reminder from Jesus in His own words that “whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

It is necessary for us as Christian young people to GIVE in the sense of using the gifts God has given us to serve others and HIM. As we grow up, and grow spiritually, we realize that our giving goes further than that to include monetary gifts and ultimately a tithe of our income.

Next week we will learn the importance of being the Salt and Light of the world. We hope you will join us as wrap up our COUNT ME IN series and learn to “GO into all the world and share the good news of Jesus Christ.” (Matthew 28:19)
