Preschool: October 26th

We began learning all about CREATION this morning. Who made everything? God made everything!

Memory Verse: “God (point up) created (pat hands together as if forming a ball) the heavens (spread hands out above head) and the earth (circle hands together).” Genesis 1:1 (hold hands out in front of body like your holding a book)

Today we learned about day 1 and day 2 of creation. On day 1, God made light and dark. On day 2, God made the sky and the water. We had some fun activities today to help us remember our story. We playedsome games called sink or float, the blindfold challenge &cloud hop and had a yummy snack that reminded us of the sky (blue jello with whip cream for clouds!)

We’ll be learning about creation for the next 6 weeks! We created a special book for this series and are asking all parents to use the book at home to reinforce what we are learning at church through the end of November! If your child did not bring home a creation activity book this morning, be sure to pick one up at the counter next Sunday.

PARENT CONNECTION: This week, use bath time to reinforce day 2 of the creation story. You can play games during bath time with objects around the house. Let kids guess whether items will float or sink, and then try it out to see if they are correct (try items like a sponge, piece of paper, leaf, plastic container, apple, clothespin, rock). Or have a conversation about their favorite things to do in the water.Be sure to thank God for giving us water.
