We had our second lesson on the creation story! Who made everything? God made everything!
Today, we learned about day3 and day4 of creation at GreenHouse! Each week, the kids get to play a game where they try to remember what God made on the days we’ve already learned about. They are doing a great job remembering! Parents, remember to use your child’s creation book to review at home.
Our NOW team came to lead worship and it was a lot of fun showing God how much we love Him!
On day 3, God made the land, plants and sea.During our class time we made leaf prints, decorated pumpkins, and hadcarrots and dip for snack- all to celebrate the wonderfulplants that God made on day 3! During our talk time we named some of our favorite fruits and vegetables!
On day 4, God made the sun, moon and stars.God made daytime and nighttime. We played a fun game called “Far Out” where we pretended to be twinkle stars!
Memory Verse: “God (point up) created (pat hands together as if forming a ball) the heavens (spread hands out above head) and the earth (circle hands together).” Genesis 1:1 (hold hands out in front of body like your holding a book)
Moms and Dads, this week there are 2 great opportunities to reinforce day 3 and day 4 at home! During dinner time, let your kids guess which things on their plate come from plants. Then thank God for each fruit and vetetablethey name. At bedtime, look out the window at the stars and the moon. Thank God for creating nighttime on day 4 so that our bodies have an opportunity to rest. Consistently thanking God for the small things will help your child devlop an attitude of gratitude.
