Preschool: A Place for Us

This month we learned…..”Who will help you?” “Jesus will help me!”

One of the basic truths that we want our children to know is that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Today we talked about how long forever is! We also learned that Jesus is planning a special place for us to live in heaven. He loves us and wants us to be with Him forever.

To help us remember this, we built houses out of blocks, we looked at pictures of places far away, we had a pretend special party (like the one we’ll have in heaven someday) and we colored pictures to remind us that Jesus cares for us.

Parent, This week during our talk time, we asked our kids what they thought heaven might belike. This week at dinner time, ask your kids that question. Ask them to tell you about the special house that God is making for them. It’s great to hear what they think it might be like and it’s great for you to share your ideas too. The most important thing to reinforce is that God is getting a special place ready for all of us. Jesus loves us and we get to spend forever with Him.

Next week we have a new question and key point: Who wants to be your best friend? Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Our new memory verse, “I amwith you always.” Matthew 28:20
