Last week, we had a blast at VBX and were inspired by the kids’ desire to help with our Mission Possible projects in Nairobi, Kenya. During our 6 nights of VBX, our kids collected $6,801.65. These offerings will be given to CMF and directed to our adopted community in the Mathare Valley towards projects including: sending a child to school, giving a microfinance loan through Big Dent, purchasing 50 mosquito nets to prevent malaria, helping to finish a well to provide clean water for a community, and building a community garden to provide food & income for their school.
If you’d like to continue to help your child grow in compassion for others and view the world through God’s eyes, we hope you’ll consider sponsoring a child in Nairobi. When you sponsor a child, not only do you give a Kenyan child an education, meals, clothing and medical assistance- but you are transforming the heart of the child who lives in your home. Your child will have an opportunity to build a life-changing relationship with your sponsored child by exchanging letters and cards.
To read more about some of the children available for sponsorship through Hope Partnership (or to allow your child to choose their new sponsored child), you can drop by the WSCC office from 8:00-4:30 this week, or visit the table in the concourse this Sunday, July 29th.
