Bringem Beach Bash is just 10 days away (July 17th) and our team is hard at work getting things ready. The snackcrew has a delicious treat planned and the recreation teamis hard at work getting some wet & wild games ready. We’ll spend the afternoon discovering how God can use our families to help others know Him better, all while having a whole lot of fun!

Just a few weeks ago, we held a special event to dedicate our new facilities to God! Our West Side family was invited to come and worship and pray in our new children’s worship space. Inspired by Detueronomy 11:20, we then covered the floors of our new space with God’s Word and prayers. It was a great opportunity to remember that all blessings come from God and that his Word is the foundation for all that we do!

This Sunday, we learned that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and all the people waved palm branches and yelled “Hosanna” to praise him. Jesus was happy to see the people because Jesus loves everyone! Who does Jesus love? Jesus loves everyone! We had so much fun this week celebrating this fun story. We played a game riding on a donkey around the room, and had delicious donkey shaped cookies.
Parents, talking to your child about Jesus’ death and resurrection can be a little intimidating- but don’t let it be. There are lots of great children’s Bibles that tell this story using kid-friendly language. There arealso resources that can make this story fun to learn, too. One of my favorite Easter activities for families is making resurrection cookies (click here for recipe) or telling the story through Resurrection eggs.
This was our last week working on our memory verse from John. Be sure to ask your child to say it with you one last time. “Love eachother as I have loved you.” John 15:12.
