Play Days are a great opportunity for moms/dads to hang out with other parents while their kids engage in play activities. This Thursday, we’ll be meeting at Chuck E Cheese at 10:30 a.m. Come out for some play time. We’ll provide the tokens.
If youa re new to West Side, look for Jessica and she’ll help you get connected.
Plan ahead and put these play days on your calendar now:
- Wed. March 31st 11 a.m., story time at Barnes and Noble
- Friday, April 16 10:00 a.m. White Oaks Mall Play Area
- Thurs., April 29 10:00 a.m. WSCC, Kite Flying Day (bring your own kite or play on the playground)

This Friday, we’ll meet at the mall at 10:00 a.m. to have some fun in their play area. Everyone is welcome!
Moms can chat and get to know eachother while the kids play. If you are new to West Side, ask for Miss Jessica, and I’ll make sure you get connected. I’ll also be taking some beverage orders and bring coffee from Gloria Jeans or sodas from the Cookie Factory as a special treat for all the moms.
If you have a friend who doesn’t attend West Side, please invite them too!

This Thursday, January 28th, kids and parents are invitied to come hang out at Chuck E Cheese at 10:30 a.m. I’ll bring a bucket of tokens so the kids can play while the moms & dads can talk and hang out. Feel free to invite your friends to come and hang out too. It’s a great opportunitity for stay at home parents to connect with a few other people.
Also, please note that we changed the Valentine Cookie Making Day to Friday, Feb. 12th at 10:00 a.m.. Come let your kids make a mess in our kitchen- instead of yours and take home some Valentine cookies to share with family and friends.

With this cold weather, are your kids bouncing off the walls at home yet? We have three upcoming play days scheduled so that your kids can play with other kids while you get to have some grown-up talk with other moms and dads. Even if you have an infant who might be too young to play, you are welcome to join us for the grown-up chit chat.
- Thurs. Jan. 14th, 10 a.m., White Oaks Mall play area
- Thurs. Jan. 28th, 10:30 a.m., Chuck E Cheese we’ll provide some tokens so the kids can play
- Friday. Feb. 12th, 10 a.m., Centennial Hall at WSCC, Valentine cookie making. We’ll provide all the supplies, you can take home the finished product!
Feel free to invite other moms you know who might like to join in!

The Men’s Ministry is sponsoring a very special event for dads and their daughters! Mark your calendars for Friday, January 22nd for the Father Daughter Winter Wonderland Banquet. Seize the opportunity to spend some intential time with your daughter(s), have some fun and make some memories on this daddy-daughter date. This event is for all dads and their daughters age 3-83 to enjoy a catered meal, and share some time together. You may purchase your tickets for $10/family in the concourse on January 10th or January 17th or by contacting the church office at 793-2800.
For dads without daughters, don’t feel left out! We’ll need people to serve in a variety of areas that night to make this a fantastic event for the daughters. If you would like to serve, please contact Fitz at Fitz@wschurch.org or give him a call at 793-2800.

Last Friday night was our Family Photo Scavenger Hunt! It was so much fun! If you weren’t able to come, here’s what you missed!
The families met up at the church, received some instructions (and rules) then headed out to gather photos of their families doing the things on their Scavenger Hunt List. Here’s just a few things from the list: giving a poinsettia to a stranger, reading a bedtime story in someone else’s bed, putting a star on top of a Christmas tree, in front of a house with lots of Christmas lights, and posing as a Christmas display inside a store window.
After collecting 10 photos from the list, families returned to the church to turn in their photos (all worth different points) and have some yummy Christmas treats. Then we had a short devotion and announced the winners! Here’s some photos of the crazy families that won the top 3 spots!
