Tomorrow night we are hosting a family fun night! Last year’s scavenger hunt was a blast….and based on this year’s list of items, I think our families will make some memories that will last a long time!
Arrive at 6:00, and we’ll give your list of items, some rules and then we’ll send you on your way. You’ll want to bring your digital camera to take photos of your find. Give me a call if you don’t have a camera and we’ll try to get you one to borrow. After the hunt, we’ll meet back at the church in CH1for some Christmas treats and to give away some prizes. We’ll also check out some of the fun photos!
It’s a great opportunity to spend some quality family time amidst the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season!

It’s a little too cold to play outside, but kids still need to get their energy out and exercise their bodies! This Saturday, December 5th, we’ll host an open gym for kids to come andplay! Bring your basketballs, soccer balls, tricycles- anything you want! Stop in anytime between 9-noon and feel free to invite your friends. The only restriction: this open gym is for kids preschool- 5th grade. Parents will be responsible for supervising their kids during the open gym.

We are meeting at the mall tomorrow at 10. We’ll start at the Cookie Factory which is near the center of the mall. The kids will get to decorate a cookie and have a drink! Then, we’ll head to the mall play area where the kids can run and explore while the moms chat. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the house and meet other moms.
Be sure to pass on this invitation to other moms you know! We’ll see you at the cookie factory at 10!

This weekend,17of our babies were dedicated to God by their parents. On Saturday morning, our families gathered together here at West Sidewith family and friends. We celebrated their commitment to God with a delicious brunch. Then, we gathered in the chapel for a short devotional message fromKira Mulvanywhochallenged our families toconnect with those around them and depend on them for support and encouragement.
Finally, the parents came forward and made these promises.
- I believe that my child is a gift from God.
- I commit to be an example in my own prayer time, Bible study and daily walk with God.
- I will seek God’s will in the decisions I make as I parent my child.
- Building a relationship of love and trust with my child will be a priority for me because I will be influential in their view of God.
- I will help my child connect with God’s family through involvment in our church community.
- I commit to intentionally teach and train my child to love God and follow Jesus Christ.
- I will encourage my child, giving them every opportunity to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
The friends and families made a promise as well- to support these families through prayerand holdthemaccountable to this commitment through encouragement.
On Sunday morning, these families were recognized during our Sunday morning service.
Thank you to Kerri Taylor, who planned the party and made the room so inviting and fun. Thank you to our Saturday morning ladies Bible Study group for serving at our brunch.
