Faith Fusion Finale

Last night’s finale was so much fun, and a great wrap up to the week!

Thanks to the NOW team for leading worship. You did a great job all week!

Mr. Goff and Mr. Johnson, thanks for showing us all those cool experiments! They were great…..and kudos on NOT blowing up the building! Our video with pics from the week was really great (Thanks Mr. Goff!) We’ll be posting a lot more pics this week on our blog, so be sure to check back!

But probably the best thing that happened last night was the amazing way God used us to help someone else! Last night we took up a final offering to help Peter! And when we added it with the offering from earlier in the week, we had more than $5,000!!!!! (On a side note, the goal we set was $4,000 but themissions organization was hoping we would reach $5,000)

We filled 3 Beakers worth of balloons!!!!

Of course the night concluded with a tasty treat (thanks Mr. Sanders for the blue icee treats) and a lot of slime!

Thursday…..It all went by so fast!

Tonight we learned that Jesus Gives us the Power to Tell Others about God! A-Ha! We heard a great story about the day of Pentecost and saw some cool experiments! We had our final craft, snack and game time for the week! All of our Professors and Lab Assistants did a FANTASTIC JOB making each of the stations so great!!! Our Funologists (crew leaders) did a really great job too! You are the ones who really have the opportunity to get to know our kids and influence them for the week. Thank you for being their guiding light!

Our power verse for tonight was, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15 We’re really proud of all of our kids who took the opportunity to invite their friends to our fun week of VBS!!!!

Tonight our missions offeringwas $815! That made our total so far (drum roll please) $2,523.91! We’d really like to make our goal of $4,000….so remember Peter (I’m tugging my ear) as you come tomorrow for our Finale!If we reach the goal- we get to slime Professor Jessica!!!! We are really proud of all of our classes for their great behavior all week long! We had some final winners of the Marvelous Monkey Awards and the Power Light Awards tonight. We really want to congratulate all of our kids for a wonderful week!

Our 4th & 5th grade class had another great night! They had 97 kids in attendance! At main event they had the opportunity to pick 2 grown-ups for sliming! The lucky victims…..I mean, winners are:Professor Engle (from Elem Hyperspeed Games) and Professor Johnson (from Elem. Bible Blast).We still have a shot at Miss Jessica though, IFwe make the offering goal! They’ll be slimed as part of the Faith Fusion Finale tomorrow night!

Friday Night: Faith Fusion Finale

Friday Night Faith Fusion Finale: Kids will not be reporting to their classroom, but instead will come with their families for a fun finale! Arrive at 6:30 and be ready for a great time! We’ll worship together, see another awesome experiment, view a fun slide show re-cap of the week, take up one last offering to help Peter, and have a special treat!!! At the end of the night we’ll head to the lawn to slime a couple grown-ups! I wonder who it will be?

Wonderfully Wacky Wednesday!

Well, well, well….Night 4 sure had a lot of GREAT surprises! First,we heard acool storyabout Jesus and how he loved us enough to die for us- but then surprised everyone when he came back to life on the 3rd day! We alsolearned thatJesus crushed our sins when he died for them on the cross. We saw a cool experimentthat reminded us of this when Professor Johnson used some liquid nitrogen to crush a ball!Becauseour sins are crushed Jesus Gives us the Power toLIVE FOREVER! A-HA!

At Wacky Works Crafts we made picture frames to hold a special VBS memory! And our Pretzel Cross snack was not only delicious, but reminded ushow much God loves us!

What's on the menu? "Infinity for Me"

In Preschool-Kindergarten games we had a blast with balls, and in the Elementary Hyperspeed Games we were jumping with joy!

We took some great leaps of faith at Hyperspeed Games!

We had another really great surprise when we found out that we more then doubled our offering! Tonight’s missions offering was $900.31! That means we have a total of $1,708.91! We are really proud of all of our classes for their great behavior! Here’s a big thumbs upfor those classes who won the Marvelous Monkey Awards and the Power Light Awards tonight. Way to Go! We’ll keep watching for more classes with great behavior.

One of the best surprises of the night was the explosion of growth in the 4th and 5th grade class.Theysurpassed the goal set in the slime contestby having 102 kids in attendance tonight! I guess someone is getting slimed afterall on Friday night!
