I found myself singing that song from the Lion King all morning as we learned that God chose a little boy to be the king! Our story was from 1 Samuel 16:1-13 (Samuel annoints David). We had fun this morning dressing up like kings and queens, making special medals with our memory verse on it (I can do all things through Christ Philippians 4:13) and other fun activities.

Just can't wait to be King!
Our Key Question this month: Can you do hard things?
Our answer: I can do anything with God’s help!
*Moms and Dads,
This week, take the time to emphasize this truth with your child when they have a challenge. For example, if brushing their teeth is something hard for them to do, have them say “I can do anything with God’s help” before they begin. I”m sure if you pay close attention, you’ll find lots of opportunities to apply this principle at home.
