If you are registered for VBX, you should receive a postcard this week with your class name on it and your room number (remember kids are signed up for the grade they completed, not the grade they are going into). Bring your post card along when you come so that you can find your room easilyand be sure to arrive around 5:45 on Sunday. You will need to check-in using the computer kiosk. Hold onto your receipts, you’ll need them when it is time to pick up your child.
We are so excited that VBX is almost here! Only 3 days away…..almost there!

What was once known as VBS is now getting a little make-over.
Vacation Bible eXperienceis a week-long evening adventure for kids (3 years old-5th grade) . Each evening, kids will travel in groups with their guide to Bible Bayou, Crawfish Crafts, Gator Games and the Snack Shack. Kids end the evening at theSwamp Stompwith amazing worship,missions, anda re-cap of the evening. Over 500 kids participate in our VBX each year.It’s a”gotta be there” event for our kids! Peter
Because our site is making a few changes, we wanted to re-post this info about Peter.
This is Peter. He’s eight years old and goes to a Hope School in Nairobi, Kenya. Kenya is in Africa.
Peter likes to go to school. But learning at school and playing with other kids is very hard for Peter because he cannot hear. Peter is deaf and he does not know sign language. But that is all about to change. A doctor is going to help give Peter a cochlear implant- it will help him to hear for the first time! After Peter’s surgery, he will need lots of help to begin learning how to process sounds and to speak. Our VBS offering will help pay for the therapy that Peter will need. Just like we learned during VBS, “Jesus Gives us the Power to Help Others (A-Ha!)”! Our offering total this year was $5,460.76.
Continue to pray for Peter. He is flying to Nigeria on August 3rd and will be having surgery the following day on August 4th. As soon as we have news, pictures or video of Peter, we will post them on the blog.

VBS begins July 20th which is a Sunday night! We’ll start right at 6:00 p.m., but you can get there a tiny bit early (like 5:45) We’ll be having so much fun! At Hyperspeed games, we’ll be doing some really crazy stuff and running around like mad scientists. At Test Tube Treats, we’ll have delicious snacks each night. Can you say, “YUM-O!” Wacky works crafts will give our creative sides a chance to come out as we make something fun that we can take with us. And at Bible Blast, we will hear a story that will blow us away! Every night, we’ll end up all together for the Main Event where we’ll sing, dance, rally for missions, and have a whole lot of fun. Thenwe head back home at 8:30 where you better rest up for the next day. Each night will be full of new adventures until Friday night when we have our FAITH FUSION FINALE! You won’t want to miss this exciting week of VBS, so if you haven’t already signed up, have your parents register you today through the West Side website.
